Ricky AU is the Chairman of Sun Venture. His entrepreneurial journey began in the late 1980s when he successfully invested in real estate and built several thriving businesses. In 2006, he incorporated Legend Investment Holdings in Hong Kong to formally consolidate his investments under a structured framework.

Subsequently, Ricky founded Sun Venture, with a focus on commercial real estate investments spanning development, core, core-plus, and value-add strategies. Under his leadership, Sun Venture achieved significant growth, establishing itself as a prominent player in Singapore’s real estate market.

Building on the success in real estate, Ricky set a clear vision to strategically diversify the firm’s portfolio and position it for sustainable, long-term growth. This led to the establishment of a private equity division focused on direct investments, along with a fund of funds division which invests across a highly diversified range of asset classes globally.

Hsien Chuan YANG began his career in the late 1980s, joining his family’s industrial manufacturing business in Taiwan. He played a pivotal role in diversifying the family business into real estate during the early 1990s. After exiting the family enterprise, he founded Ding Bon Construction to focus on his own property developments in Taiwan, subsequently expanding his investments across various industries in Greater China.

Currently, HC Yang serves as a non-executive director for several entities within the Group. While not involved in daily operations, his strategic guidance and insights are instrumental in shaping Sun Venture’s long-term vision.

Ying Jian CHAN serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Sun Venture. He spearheads strategic planning, execution, and management of the firm’s Finance, Operations, Risk Management and Compliance, and Technology functions.. He also oversees the Corporate Office in the Isle of Man. Ying Jian possesses a strong background in business analytics and strategic planning across various industries and geographies.

Prior to joining Sun Venture, he served as the Group CFO at Yeo Hiap Seng, overseeing Finance, IT, Legal, and Corporate Secretarial functions. Before that, he held the CFO and IT Director roles at The Learning Lab and served as the Group CFO and Group CIO of BreadTalk Group Limited. Ying Jian began his career as an Equity Research Analyst at J.P. Morgan Securities.

Ying Jian holds a Double Degree in Business Management (Finance) and Accountancy (Summa Cum Laude) from Singapore Management University. He is also a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore and a CFA Charterholder.

Yueh Pyng (YP) CHIANG is the Head of Investment at Sun Venture and is responsible for developing and executing the firm’s investment strategy aligned with the organisation’s objectives. He began his tenure at Sun Venture as Head of Private Equity and subsequently expanded his responsibilities to include oversight of the Real Estate portfolio, prior to assuming his current position. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Wang Learning Centre Pte Ltd and PSGourmet Pte Ltd.

Prior to joining Sun Venture, YP was part of the Investment Group at Temasek, managing both public and private equity investments in the transportation and logistics sectors globally. Before that, YP was a Vice President at Crescent Point Capital (acquired by Ares Management Corporation), a China and Southeast Asia focused private equity and special situations firm. He also worked as an investment banker with Deutsche Bank in Singapore, covering Southeast Asia.

YP holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University.

Jeremiah TAY is the Head of Private Equity Direct Investment at Sun Venture. He leads the team in delivering on our private equity direct investment objectives.

Before joining Sun Venture, Jeremiah worked with Affirma Capital and Standard Chartered Private Equity. He led portfolio management across Southeast Asia and held Directorships on the Board of Crystal Jade, Phoon Huat, and Tat Hong. Jeremiah also spent two years in Mumbai with the Standard Chartered India team, leading growth capital investments in healthcare, media, and industrial sectors.

Jeremiah holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
